Five Ways to Prep your Skin for Wedding Day
Between the stress, Texas heat and those pesky masks, it’s no surprise that a chance of a breakout is at an all time high when going through the wedding planning process. We’re here to give you five tips on how you can prep your skin for the big day and avoid any unwanted breakouts!
Meet with an Esthetician
The skin experts will know exactly what products you should be using leading up to your wedding day. Getting facials on a regular basis, is a great way to prep your skin and pamper yourself! An esthetician will be able to target problem areas and give your skin that perfect glow by the time your wedding day rolls around!
2. Hydrate
Yeah yeah, we’ve heard this a billion times. We all know it’s good for us…then let’s do it!
3. Double Cleanse
This is a personal trick that has CHANGED MY SKIN! The term double cleanse just basically means to clean/wash your face twice. Every evening, I use a balm cleanser to get the makeup off my face, then I use an oil cleanser to do the same thing. You’d be surprised at how much makeup comes off that second time around! This technique ensures that EVERY ounce of dirt, oil, debris and makeup is off your skin.
4. Consistent Routine
Just like anything in life, consistency is key. A proper skincare routine, will pay off once wedding day rolls around. Get in the habit of cleaning your face EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Even if you skip a few steps every once in awhile, a little TLC is better than nothing. You can do this!
5. Manage Stress
Planning a wedding should be fun and exciting, but we get that stress is just another part of it. Managing your stress is easier said than done, but this is exactly what your bridal party is for! Delegate tasks that are causing you stress or consider hiring a wedding planner if the budget allows for it!
